Creating a Template from a Template - swamiforlife - 01-29-2020 I have used the existing VFX template to create a new Project. I want to make some minor changes to the new project and use that as a template for other new projects. Is this possible? If i create a new project and set it as a Template then i can't select the existing VFX template and work of that. If i want to create a template i have to start from a blank project. Is this how it is supposed to work or am i doing something wrong. Thanks RE: Creating a Template from a Template - remkonoteboom - 02-04-2020 To be honest, we haven't used templates in a long time (we use TACTIC Plugins) http://forum.southpawtech.com/showthread.php?tid=21&highlight=template However, they are admittedly a lot more complex to set up, but you have much more flexibility. For templates, I believe you can just set any project as a template and it will appear on the create project menu. You would just have to create a new VFX project, make the necessary changes and then set that project as a template (under the is_template column in the project list). This project is then available to be used as a template. Just don't "use" a template a production project.
